Cooking It, Part1

since I'm gonna be emitted to KPJ Kajang this coming Friday morning for a Lil tinny-whinny surgery, I'm taking all chances i have to eat all the delicious food i want. while i can though. HAHA! so, as usual for dinner, I'm the BIGG STAR of the evening. what did i do? i COOK!!

Dish No1: Stir Fried Bak Choy with Fish Ball in Fish Sauce


The Ingredients:-
3 ties of fresh bak choy
8 fish balls (cut in halves)
1 clove of garlic (sliced as thinly as u possibly can)
5 spoonfuls of fish sauce
fried shallots & garlic for garnish
a dollop of water
some oil to fry

Preparations:-
1. Heat the oil in a heavy duty pan. Saute the garlic together with the fish balls until golden brown.
2. Throw in the bak choy, some water and the fish sauce. Stir all of it together. Close the lid and leave to simmer.
3. Place it in a nice dish and ready to serve!


Dish No2: Honey Orange+Ginger Glazed Chicken & Carrots topped with herbs


The Ingredients:-
8-9 pieces of chicken
2 carrots (roughly sliced to same cooking time)
3 spoonfuls of ground ginger (finely chopped)
2/3 cup of orange juice
1/3 cup of orange marmalade
2 spoonfuls of lemon juice (can be replaced with limau nipis)
some butter to fry
salt & pepper for taste
spring onion/oregano for garnish

Preparations:-
1. Brown the chicken pieces in hot non-stick skillet. Turn it frequently to avoid blacken the meat.
2. Put the carrots to cook together. Season the chicken with some salt and pepper.
3. Pour in the orange juice together with the marmalade, lemon juice and ground ginger. Simmer on a low heat for 25-30 minutes.
4. Place the cooked dish in a nice big plate and top it with the herbs. Ready to be served for 4-6 pax.


So people, don't just read or look at the photo. get your lazy butts up and try the dish out! trying something new is never boring. it adds colours to your taste buds! =D till the next recipes..
